Data Exchange Overview

How is data transferred between our CRM and Wisr?

  • Wisr sends and receives data via SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol).
  • Wisr uses RSA-SSH2 public key authentication to validate the connection.
  • Wisr can receive data from an external CRM
  • Wisr can integrate with Slate, custom Salesforce builds, and in-house CRM's
    • For more information specific to Slate integration, please review the Slate Integration documentation

Sending Data to Wisr

Partners will send a RSA-SSH2 public key (corresponding to their matching private key) and receive a username to access sftp.wisr.io. EAB and Wisr will never ask for your private key. Once credentialed, partners can send data to be processed.

The following data files can be sent to Wisr:

  • *Pre-verification Data: Members to be pre-approved to join the Wisr Virtual Community, without admin action or intervention.
  • *Update Data: Member data that has changed since joining the Wisr Virtual Community
    • Example: Admitted Student updated to Deposited/Enrolled Student, Enrolled Student updated to Alumni
  • *Deactivation Data: Deactivating members who should no longer be part of the Wisr Virtual Community.
  • Bulk Import of Event Data
  • Bulk Import of Community Membership Invites: Invite members to a specific community in Wisr
  • Reactivation of Members

(* denotes required data to be sent to Wisr)

Receiving Data from Wisr:

There are two ways partners can access data from a Wisr site.

  1. Exports/Reports via SFTP
    1. Documentation for receiving data via SFTP can be found in the Receiving Data: Standard Exports via SFTP (from Wisr) article
  2. Ad-hoc Reports in the Wisr Admin Site
    1. Documentation for downloading Ad-Hoc reports from the Wisr Admin Site can be found in the Receiving Data: Self Service Exports in Wisr Admin Site (Non-SFTP) article
