Wisr is excited to announce our new SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) integration. This integration allows our Wisr Sites to authenticate Members using their existing university credentials. 

InCommon Turn Key Setup

As a member of InCommon, our Service Provider (SP) is registered with the InCommon metadata. If your University is an InCommon Member, setting up your InCommon Identity Provider (IdP) is a fully turnkey solution and requires zero setup in Wisr. If you operate a SAML2 IdP that is not in InCommon, there is some setup that needs to occur for our solution to connect with your IdP securely.

Account Linking

For member who have signed in using our standard authentication or a social authentication (e.g. LinkedIn), they can link their existing account. Pre-populating invited member information is still supported by creating a pre-verification record using the email address that matches your SSO ID.
